To turn a photo into a drawing follow this steps:
- duplicate the layer
- desaturate the image (ctrl+u)
- duplicate the layer again
- invert the image (ctrl+i)
- change layer blending mode to 'colour dodge'
- apply gaussian blur (Filter - Blur - Gaussian Blur)
- When Gaussian Blur icon pops up choose radius between 1 - 3 (or what you think works best)
You can then add some other effects. I have used mosaic filter the picture above and added some colour
